Mark Erlewine, Marketing Manager at P3 Recruits, is a former University of Kentucky golfer and member of the 2005 SEC Championship team under Coach Brian Craig. Mark had a successful junior golf career shaped under the mentorship of legendary instructor Jim Gallagher Sr. A top junior golfer in the Midwest and Frank G. Ham Society of Character honoree, Mark combines his extensive golf experience and professional expertise in digital marketing and data analytics to mentor junior golfers and advance P3 Recruits’ mission of guiding young athletes toward collegiate and professional success.
Mark Erlewine grew up in Marion, Indiana, where his love for golf was nurtured by his father, Mark Erlewine Sr., and legendary golf instructor Jim Gallagher Sr., who famously guided his three children (Jim Gallagher Jr., Jeff Gallagher, and Jackie Gallagher-Smith) to successful professional golf careers on the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour. Mark quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the Midwest’s regions top junior golfers in his age group, winning over 100 junior and amateur golf events throughout Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
Mark earned a golf scholarship to the University of Kentucky, where he contributed to the nationally ranked men’s golf program. He was a member of the 2005 SEC Championship team and part of top-10 nationally ranked squads from 2004 to 2006. Off the course, Mark exemplified leadership and integrity, earning the prestigious Frank G. Ham Society of Character award. A dedicated student-athlete, he was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll every semester and graduated with a degree in Integrated Strategic Communication.
Mark Erlewine transitioned seamlessly from competitive golf to the professional world, accepting a full-time digital marketing position while still in college. Over the years, he has built an impressive career, blending creativity with technical expertise to elevate brands across industries.
Throughout his career, Mark crafted high-impact campaigns for some of the nation’s largest automobile and superyacht brands. His career flourished in the luxury yacht industry, where he held leadership roles at top brokerage firms, including Northrop & Johnson, IYC, and Camper & Nicholsons International. His work in digital strategy, branding, and marketing automation has consistently driven measurable results, including triple-figure growth in digital leads and a 410% increase in ultra-high-net-worth client acquisition.
Mark’s passion for transparency through data and analytics has been a cornerstone of his success. He has applied these skills not only to marketing campaigns but also to his approach to golf. Just as he analyzes consumer market behavior and campaign performance to optimize marketing strategies, Mark believes in studying performance metrics, swing data, and course management strategies to understand/improve the golf game and mentor junior golfers and their families.
Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Aquasition Media, a boutique agency specializing in marketing for global yacht brokers. He also lent his expertise to the Morgan Hoffmann Foundation, where he played a pivotal role in branding, marketing, and event management, helping raise over $3 million for the charity’s mission.
Mark’s analytical mindset extends to his approach to golf. He believes that data and analytics can transform how players develop and approach their game, from decision-making on the course to understanding performance metrics. This philosophy reflects his broader professional experience, where leveraging data is critical in driving tangible results.
Throughout his career, Mark has remained passionate about giving back. Whether through charitable community work or supporting the next generation of golfers, he continues to influence those around him. His work with P3 Recruits represents a return to his roots, coming full circle to the sport that has had such a positive impact on his life.
Today, as the Marketing Manager of P3 Recruits, Mark combines his extensive marketing experience with his deep connection to the game of golf. His leadership supports P3 Recruits’ mission of guiding junior golfers toward success both on the course and in the classroom, inspiring the next generation of talent.
